Names:
Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Skunk Ape, Yeti, Abominable Snowman, Yowie, Wild Man, Hairy Man, Orang-pendek, Wendigo(?)

Origin:
Some researchers believe the bigfoot to be a descendant of the large prehistoric ape known as Gigantopithecus.

Some however believe it is more closely related to humans. Whatever this hominid species is in terms of classification are still as yet unknown. Speculation suggests possible interdimensional or ufo connections.

Habitat:
In the US- Pretty much everywhere. Heavily concentrated in the Pacific Northwest, and New England. Sightings have been reported in nearly if not every state of the continental US. Also seen in Canada, South America, Australia, Europe, Asia, and Russia.

Identifying Characteristics:
Tall- Adult height approximated at between 7-9 feet on average. Covered in hair with various coloring. Most common colors being black, dark brown, and reddish. Some blonde colored or silver-white sightings have been noted. Face has a striking resemblance to human, particularly in the eyes. Has a gaping stride, taking in one footstep what a man of six feet could physically take in 2 or 3.

Known Behaviour:
Wood knocking- hitting a piece of wood (likely a branch) against a nearby tree causing a loud noise that can be heard from far away. Known to throw rocks, walk across roads, peep into windows. Sometimes rattles and shakes tents. No known accounts of killing humans or harming them in any way. ( Please note there was a story in the 1900s about a man who said he was "kidnapped" for a time.) Believed to be somewhat migratory. Travels in family groups. Territorial. Highly elusive. Believed to be able to percieve and avoid electronic equipment. 

Screams and screeches, as well as grunting. 

Accompanying Smells:
Reported smells accompanying a bigfoot sighting may contain one, none or many of the following: Sulfur, Rotting flesh, Wet Dog

Diet:
Believed to be an omnivore. Has been reported to take food from coolers at campsites. Unknown whether this is done for "pranking" or eating.
